The Rare Disease Ghana Team on the 25th Sept, 2020 paid a courtesy call to the Department of Child Health of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), where they made a donation of stoma bags donated by ONEin5000 Foundation, a blood checker ammonia device provided by Care Beyond Diagnosis (CBD) as part of a pilot project, ventilator splitters and MPS tests donated by BIOMARIN Pharmaceuticals to support the diagnosis of mucopolysaccharidosis.  This donation was done to support rare disease care in the hospital.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital by Prof. Ebenezer Badoe a consultant pediatric neurologist who is well known for his work and support to the rare disease community in Ghana, he commended RDGI for its efforts and commitment to improve care for persons living with genetic and rare diseases.
